I have been in the lodge industry since 1998. I started out as a fishing guide in the Arctic and moved over to the West Coast in 2003 to chase the mighty Chinook Salmon, the best fighting fish I have come across in all my days on the water. It is not uncommon to see me frequently on the water slaying fish with everyone else, I feel it is important to stay in touch with what really matters (fishing!) as well as overseeing all the daily operations. I personally guarantee you one of the best fishing experiences you will ever have. I am looking forward to talking to you about your next trip. See you in the summer.

Nigel Davidson, General Manager

I’ve been with North King Lodge since 2007, when I fell in love with the waters surrounding us, the tranquility, the wildlife, but especially the large Chinook in our beautiful area.   I have been fishing the West Coast for over 20 years, from fly fishing the rivers to the big waters off Tofino.  There’s nothing I love more then to see others catch a giant Salmon and help them get it in or to the boat.  I rarely sit on the docks without talking fish or jumping into a boat to go out and see if I can’t catch one of the monsters.  My love for the water and North King Lodge makes me want to help each and every guest have the best chance of catching the big one.   Hope to see you soon and fish with you sooner.

Roberta Veenstra, Office Manager

I’ve been with North King Lodge since 2003. My first fishing experience was at the lodge in those early days — I’m still not much of a fisher-woman, but I learn more on my infrequent trips to the lodge!  I don’t get as much practice as I need, since most of the season I’m in our southern office.   From this base, it’s my role to take care of all the details of your reservation and to assist you with your trip planning.   I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have, and to refer the technical fishing questions to Nigel and Clint!
