September 2 to 5, 2006
Over $15,000 in prizes
Join us at North King Lodge from September 2 to 5, 2006 for our First
Annual Coho Derby with over $15,000 worth of prizes.
We hope that all who enjoy fishing for coho (silver) salmon and also
like the heat of some friendly competition will
visit and enjoy what North King Lodge and the surrounding waters
have to offer.
|
At that time of year the waters of Camano Sound are
saturated with monster northern coho. They average 12 to 14 pounds
in weight and numerous
fish weighing over 18 pounds have been caught. This should make for
a very interesting competition. The lodge record was set
last year
with a
25 pound fish, a truly remarkable catch. See picture at right.
|
25 pounds of pure coho power. This
fish was caught by little Derek Sager in August: a
new lodge record! Well done, kid!
