Our Location

The Lodge is located in Caamano Sound, British Columbia, 425 miles north of Vancouver. The Sound is on the mainland coast of British Columbia, across from the Queen Charlotte Islands.

Sandspit is the closest major airport.

We are situated at a crossroads of the major salmon runs and consequently, our guests enjoy superb fishing all summer long. At North King Lodge, there is no reason to challenge heavy seas to find salmon or bottom fish. Our fishing area is among several islands that offer protected water for fishing or sightseeing.

Fishing is right at our own back yard and less than two minutes from the lodge!

Each year, guests catch several Chinook in excess of 50 pounds.

Last year, the largest salmon caught was 68 pounds! The Lodge record is a whopping 71 pound chinook caught in 1999.

Imagine it: huge Chinook and trophy Coho right at your doorstep. An amazing 25 pound coho was landed in 2005.

Our bottom fishing areas constantly produce:

• Halibut (average 40-60 pounds - largest last year was 149 pounds
• Limit catches of Red Snapper
  (10 - 20 pounds)
• Large Ling Cod
